Once upon a time…
There were four magnificent information school students who decided to start a blog. This is their story.
Our reasons for starting the blog are four-fold:
1. We thought it would be fun, because we’re students and work part-time, plus 12 (grad school) credits, and have lots of free time in need of an outlet – we can’t help but think about libraries and archives, even in our downtime.
2. We have secret desires to be supervillians and kill your stereotypes of librarians and archivists, because the days of the shushers and the shelvers is long gone. None of us even wear glasses (regularly…).
3. We have thoughts…sometimes they’re fleeting, and often quite silly, but that’s what the internet is for. We don’t claim to be experts (yet), but we’re getting better at sounding like we know what we’re talking about.
4. We want to create a common ground between Librarians and Archivists. Can’t we just all hold hands and sing Kumbaya?
We want this space to be where we share our thoughts, feelings, and loving snarkiness for libraries, archives, and information school in general.
Oh, and if you’re wondering who we are, we’ve included introductions in our about page. You should check it out.
